Indications/Uses
Reduction of elevated IOP in patients w/ open-angle glaucoma & ocular HTN. Adjunct in the reduction of elevated IOP in patients w/ primary chronic angle closure glaucoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop in the affected eye/s once daily, in the evening. Max dosage frequency: Once daily.
Special Precautions
Aphakic, pseudophakic patients w/ a torn posterior lens cap (macular edema, including cystoid macular edema & decreased visual acuity associated w/ macular edema). Patients w/ severe or brittle asthma; & intraocular inflammation (iritis/uveitis); angle-closure glaucoma. Iris pigmentation. Patients w/ dry eyes & those where the cornea may be compromised; monitor prolonged use in such patients. Refrain from operating machinery or driving a car until the symptoms recover. Pregnancy. Avoid use in nursing woman. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Eye irritation (burning, grittiness, itching, stinging & foreign body sensation), eye pain, eyelash & vellus hair changes of the eyelid (increased length, thickness, pigmentation, & number of eyelashes), ocular hyperaemia, iris hyperpigmentation, blepharitis, conjunctivitis.
Drug Interactions
Elevated IOP w/ ophth prostaglandin analogues, isopropyl unoproston, bimatoprost, etc.
